NERD-MART
UI/UX DESIGN
Nerd-Mart is a gamer-focused e-commerce app designed to offer a wide range of relatable and affordable equipment and games for customers from all walks of life. As the designer, I conducted extensive research into user needs and online shopping behaviors to create a modern, visually appealing app that aligns with today’s digital trends. The interface was designed with intuitive navigation and interactive elements to ensure a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience, making it easy for users to find and purchase products with minimal effort.

DELIVERABLES
Creating a fictional gamer e-commerce app, establishing its branding identity and interface design while conducting thorough research and developing case studies to ensure the app provided reliable and affordable equipment for a diverse range of customers.
Nerd-Mart — a sleek, gamer-focused e-commerce app built for accessibility, affordability, and ease.
Rough sketches of low fidelity wireframing.
The sketching process felt natural, much like laying out a magazine spread or book design, where composition, flow, and visual hierarchy play a key role. The first sheet explores early layout ideas for the home, search, product, and checkout screens, while the second sheet presents a revised, more structured flow including welcome, login, search, review, cart, and order status pages. These low-fidelity wireframes helped me define user paths, test ideas quickly, and refine the structure before transitioning into digital wireframes.
Side by side layouts for low and mid fidelity wireframing.
As a graphic designer stepping into the world of UI/UX, I created these rough sketches as the first visual exploration of Nerd-Mart, a fictional gamer-focused e-commerce app. Inspired by my love for gaming, marketing, and design, this personal project became a creative outlet where I could channel all three passions. To bring the Nerd-Mart experience to life, I crafted a style guide that speaks to the modern gamer. The branding leans on a friendly, modern-chic typeface combo, featuring Gotham and Rubik as the primary fonts to maintain approachability and clarity across all screens. The color scheme keeps the interface fun and vibrant, using cyan and lime green as accent colors, with cyan blue doubling as the action color for favoriting products, highlighting active sections, and energizing buttons. To maintain visual balance, black and white are used strategically to offset the bright tones, creating contrast and harmony that supports intuitive navigation. The iconography follows a universal visual language, borrowing familiar elements from other leading e-commerce platforms to create a sense of ease and recognition as users browse, shop, and interact throughout the app.
